PBA holds Rookie Draft 2021 on March 14

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) has announced thru their website looking for prospective rookie players for the upcoming Season 46.

The said application starts from December 7, 2020 to January 27, 2021.

PBA draft can be availed of both local and foreign players provided that they comply with the requirements:

For local players

1. Must be 21 years old at the time of the draft. However, if the player is below 21 years old he must be completed at least any 4-year college course;

2. Must play at least 7 games in the PBA D-League in 1 conference; and

3. At least 168 cm or 5’6 in height.

For Foreign players

1. Must be a Filipino Citizen or acquired by reason of naturalization;

2. Must play at least 7 games in PBA D-League in 2 conferences;

3. Must secure documents of their Filipino citizenship from the DOJ and BIR 

Note: ALL players must be a Filipino citizen (natural-born or naturalized)

The PBA draft  sets to scheduled on March 14, 2021.

The rookie application and draft proceedings were among the agenda tackled when the PBA Board under chairman Ricky Vargas met with Commissioner Willie Marcial.
