Update your PSMBFI Contact Information for MER and MBIEV
The Public
Safety Mutual Benefit Fund, Inc.) PSMBFI is a mutually benefit association
whose vision, mission, plans and activities are aimed at raising the morale and
wellbeing of its members, who are primarily public safety professionals.
Members of
PSMBFI receive life insurance coverage (Member’s Equity Plan), equity value
(savings), an accidental death benefit, an accidental disablement benefit, an
accident hospitalization benefit, and a member’s experience refund or reimbursement.
Members
Experience Refund (MER) refers to the portion of a policyholder’s premiums that
is repaid if the insurer’s loss experience is better than expected.
Members Benefit on Individual Equity Value (MBIEV) is an increase in
membership fee that is declared and distribute annually to its members to
mitigate the impact of the 12% committed interest rate by reducing the amount
of the Equity Value that will earn interest at a compounded rate.
This year, the PSMBFI issued an advisory on the distribution of the Member’s Experience Refund (MER) and Member’s Benefit from Interest on Equity Value (MBIEV) for the years 2020 onwards.
For you to receive the MER and MBIEV cash, members are required to update their contact information.
Members
must prepare the following needed important information before you access the
contact information online:
a. PNP
Account Number; (check your printed payslip or online)
b.
Latest Mobile Number; and
c. Maya Account
Number (most important)
Download Maya mobile application in Playstore App and create you Maya Account. The important part here is that your PayMaya Account must be verified and upgraded in order to receive payment or cash.

Failure to upgrade Maya account simply means that you cannot process any transactions especially if you’re expecting to receive cash from other person or entity.
Why Maya? PSMBFI have chosen a new solution that will automate their disbursement process and encourage them to use the free mobile application thru MAYA.

On August 18,
2021, the PSMBFI distributed a total of P857,529,441.79 to 104,139 Eligible
Members whose cash benefits were deposited directly into their PNP Individual ATM
payroll account with the Landbank of the Philippines.
Other receive their MER/MBIEV by using their relatives Maya Account or creating Maya under their relative’s name. Please note that you cannot create Maya account under the same name (which is your name) and there can only be one Maya account under your name. That’s why some created new account, put the code: PQ892VEZJK3J and update their contact information form.
