The
Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 11,121 (49.39%)
out of 22,539 examinees passed the July 2024 Criminology Licensure Examination
(CLE) administered by the PRC Board of Criminology in various testing centers.
The three-day
CLE examination was held on July 31, August 1, and 2, 2024 in different
testing centers in the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan
de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Palawan, San Fernando
(Pampanga), Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Bohol, Cauayan (Isabela),
Dumaguete, Kidapawan, and Rosales (Pangasinan).
The Professional Board of
Criminology, chaired by Ramil G. Gabao, and composed of George O. Fernandez and
Ruben A. Sta. Teresa administered the examination.
Starting September 2024,
registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and
Certificate of Registration will be done online. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow
instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register
are required to bring the following:
a) Downloaded duly accomplished
Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal,
b) Notice of Admission (for
identification only),
c) 2 Pieces passport sized
pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag),
d) 2 sets of documentary
stamps; and
e) 1-piece short brown
envelope.
Successful examinees
should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Criminology Licensure Examination, an examinee must have a weighted average
rating of 75% and no grade lower than 60% in any given subject.
If the examinee gets a
weighted average score of 75% but a grade of less than 60% in one or more
subjects, his or her results will be deferred, and the failing subject(s) will
have to be retaken.
The deferred examinee may
retake the examination only once within two (2) years after the preceding
examination date, and must score at least 80% on the topic to be regarded to
have passed the licensure examination.
If the examinee fails to
retake after two years or fails to obtain a passing grade of 80 percent, he or
she must retake all board subjects. If an examinee fails three (3) or more
board subjects, he or she is deemed to have failed the examination.
