MANILA, Philippines. The
Supreme Court has announced that the highly anticipated September 2024
Philippine Bar Exam Results are expected to be released on December 13,
2024 (Friday), nearly three months after the exams.
The September 2024 Bar Exam was the fourth time it was given digitally on-site using the Examplify software instead of having examinees write their answers in a booklet.
From 10,387 bar takers last year, 3,812 passed the said exam, which is equivalent to a 36.77% passing rate.
Meanwhile, the office of the 2024 Bar Exam Chairperson, Supreme Court Associate Justice Mario V. Lopez, has released the schedule for this year’s bar examinations. The digitalized and regionalized exams will be on September 8, 11, & 15, 2024, in different local testing centers in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
According to Bar Chair Assoc. Justice Lopez, earlier examinations mean earlier results; successful bar examinees can begin practicing law as early as January 2025.

Each Bar passer/inductee must pay a fee of Five Thousand One Hundred Ninety Pesos (₱5,190) before attending the Oath Taking and Roll Signing.
For the 2024 bar examinations, the total weighted score is the sum of the weighted scores for each subject. The weighted score for each subject is the result of the subject’s relative weight and the raw score as a percentage of the maximum possible score, such as 75 on a 20-question exam.
A bar examinee who obtains a total weighted score of at least 85% on the September 2024 bar examination shall be recognized for exemplary performance on the bar examinations.
Examinees who have
failed three or more bar examinations are COMPELLED to complete
mandatory refresher courses.

VALIDITY OF REFRESHER COURSE
Those who have finished the 4th-year refresher course will have up to three (3) years from the date of their course completion to take the bar exams. The three (3) bar years, not the three (3) calendar years, begin on the date the refresher course was completed. However, it’s only good for one (1) bar exam.
The bar exam/application fee is ₱12,800 for all applicants, whether new, repeat, refresher, or re-applicant. The application fee for the bar may be paid using the Bar Personalized Login Unified System (BarPLUS) platform. Each applicant is solely liable for payment. No joint payments from several applicants will be accepted.
