The
Philippine-American Educational Foundation, also known as the Fulbright Philippines, a bi-national
commission that administers the Fulbright Program, is pleased to announce that
the Fulbright Foreign Student Program (for Filipinos) for the academic year
2022-2023 is now open for applications.
The
Fulbright Foreign Student Program (for Filipinos) is a scholarship opportunity
for Filipinos to study at the graduate level (master’s or doctoral studies) or
pursue non-degree doctoral dissertation research in the United States.
The
grant provides for tuition and fees, settling-in-allowance, monthly maintenance
allowance, books and supplies allowance, in-transit allowance, health and
accident insurance, roundtrip international airfare, and excess baggage
allowance.
Application
for the 2022-2023 Fulbright Foreign
Student Program (for Filipinos)
will be online. All interested applicants must complete the online application
and are encouraged to visit the Fulbright
Website. The deadline for online applications is on March 31, 2021.
General Eligibility Requirements:
ü Philippine citizenship
ü English
proficiency
ü College
degree with major in the field of specialization; excellent undergraduate
record
ü Applicants
must have at least two years of professional work experience (after college) in
their field of specialization.
Assistantships during college do not count.
ü Applicants
must be in good health to pursue graduate work in the U.S.
ü Applicants
must return to the Philippines immediately upon completion of the study.
ü Non-degree
applicants must meet the added requirements:
ü Applicants
for the doctoral dissertation must show proof that materials required to pursue
research are not available in the Philippines but are available in the United
States.
Note: Individuals
holding dual citizenship, are permanent residents, and/or are presently
studying in the U.S. are not eligible.

2. Make sure to Select/Change Award to Fulbright Graduate Student Program on the Award Information portion found on the Country Information tab on your online application page.
3. Upload the following documents to the online application portal:
ü Official
or certified transcript of records from all colleges/universities attended
ü Certified
true copy of diploma (not original)
ü Three
letters of reference (in order to register your recommendations, you must first
complete the Reference Materials Waiver on the Study Plan page of your online
application)
ü NBI
Clearance acquired in the past 6 months (upload
as a PDF file on the Country-Specific Materials portion under the Additional
Information tab)
